1. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your password safe. Because your direct messages are encrypted with your password, only you can access them — keep it somewhere safe.
2. Acceptable use
Don’t use UNIVRSLL Chat to:
- break the law or help anyone else do so;
- harass, threaten, or abuse other people;
- send spam, scams, malware, or unsolicited bulk messages;
- impersonate someone else or misrepresent who you are;
- share other people’s private information without their consent;
- post content you don’t have the right to share.
We may suspend or remove accounts, channels, or messages that break these rules.
3. Your content
You own the messages and files you share. You give us the limited permission needed to store and deliver them so the app can work (for example, storing a message so the recipient can receive it). You’re responsible for what you choose to share.
4. Encryption and your password
Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted using a key tied to your password. If you forget your password and reset it, messages from before the reset may become permanently unreadable on a new device. This is a normal consequence of strong encryption, not a malfunction.
5. The service is provided “as is”
UNIVRSLL Chat is a free service offered as-is, without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that messages will always be delivered. We may add, change, or remove features, or discontinue the service, at any time.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, or for lost messages or data. You use the app at your own discretion and risk.
7. Ending your use
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that create risk for other users or the service.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
